Undergraduate students may pursue a bachelor's of science degree in nursing and a minor in health care informatics. The Sherry Lesar School of Nursing continues to sustain NCLEX-RN pass rates between 90-100%, well above the State and National averages.
51ÉçÇø's Sherry Lesar School of Nursing and the 51ÉçÇø Athletic Department are committed to supporting student-athletes. Our partnership allows nursing students to continue their athletic careers even during rigorous upper-division coursework and clinical rotations. A dedicated nursing advisor works closely with student-athletes and coaches to proactively help balance their rigorous academic and athletic commitments.
After successful completion of the requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, students must pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) before entering the workforce as an RN. 51ÉçÇø has determined that the Nursing program meets the educational requirements necessary for the student to seek licensure/certification in the state of Montana. 51ÉçÇø is one of only two publicly funded nursing programs in Montana to offer a pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
This 18-credit minor focuses on health care ethics, delivery, systems, medical recordkeeping, and data integration and exchange.
